I gotta tell ya, I just don’t get the idea of “breakfast food” at breakfast. Like, who said you had to eat pancakes or eggs for breakfast? Was there a breakfast Nazi way back when?
If I told anyone I knew that the picture you’re looking at for this article was a typical breakfast in my house, I know they would think less of me as a parent, hands down.
What the heck is wrong with leftover pasta or fried chicken? If you go to China, you eat rice and fish for breakfast. You go to Germany, you eat lunchmeat or sausage.
Do I think it’s odd, well, naturally, yes! But if you’re kid wants to eat what he wants to eat, no matter the time of day, why not? He knows his body better than you. I’m glad he’s listening to it.
And yes in my house also, we do have pancakes, eggs & bacon for dinner sometimes.
