I have a 22 year old daughter who is soon graduating UF School of Nursing. She has been an old soul for as long as I remember. You can spot a nurse as soon as they are able to walk, at least that was my experience. She was a far better mother than I, always quick to helping one of her brothers with a bandage or tissue or antiseptic spray, but mostly with kind words and warm hands.
When she was barely able to speak, her favorite Winnie the Pooh character was Eeyore. If that tells you anything…. For the life of me I couldn’t understand why, why gloomy Eeyore? But the nurse in her (I guess) wanted to fix Eeyore. Funny girl.
Because she grew up with 3 brothers, it made her a little cleverer than most girls when it came to understanding guys, slightly rough around the edges, and very quick-witted.
And she has moxy.
