When I would go out to restaurants and order guacamole and chips, it’s not that I didn’t like the guacamole, I merely thought it could be improved. I decided to make the Avocado be the star.
On a quick side note, a babysitter came over years ago and ate some of my guacamole. She couldn’t believe how good it was. She asked how I made it because the way her mother made it was “horrendous.” She put all sorts of stuff in it. I told her that I felt the same way when I ordered it in restaurants. Thus the recipe below:
6 ripe avocados
1 tbsp. grated onion
1 lime juiced
1 tsp. salt
½ tsp. black pepper
Mash everything together to the consistency you like. Cilantro is up for grabs. I put very little in mine because my kids don’t like a lot. And yes, they do it for breakfast, no lie.
