Great pieces of advice for any age.

When I was in my early 20s, an acquaintance (now a good friend) taught me a very valuable lesson. She had just miscarried a baby and all of her family & friends were sad for her. I asked her why she would even tell anyone before 12 weeks. She said, “Why wouldn’t I tell the people I love? They support me. They love me.”

My father told me it was better to be five minutes early than five minutes late.

You can only give people two things:  your word and your time.

My mother told me the hardest word I would have to say in my life, was NO. Great advice because the more you say it, the easier it is to say.

Sometimes plans don’t go the way you thought they would go – have a plan B.

If you think something will take 30 minutes, plan for 60.

The most important ingredient in any recipe is LOVE.

Mourn a death, because that crap will come back later in life.

Can't Change Anyone

You can’t change anyone.

You have the ability to change yourself.

Don’t be so hard on yourself, no one else is.

Don’t take yourself so seriously, no one else is.

Your imagination is a terrible thing to waste.

Smoking kills you.

Don’t wait for a special occasion to wear your best outfit or jewelry or drive your fanciest car. You might be dead tomorrow. Enjoy them now.

Money can buy you happiness.

Everyone has a gift.

Be patient.

Appreciate your life!

Be careful of what you wish for.

Be your own cheerleader.

It’s ok to make a mistake, how else will you learn?

Doctor Patient

Doctors don’t know everything.

Be good to your children because they will decide which nursing home to place you!

Love your parents. We are so busy growing up, we often forget they are also growing old.
