Thank you from ‘Anonymous in Missouri’ for sharing your experience with myself and other GreyFeathers:
“It was amazing how available she made herself to anyone she met. I regret that I never got the chance to meet her particularly because of the dignity she brought to the presidency as First Lady, but also because the proudest years and the height of my military career were under her husband’s command.
I did, however, have the privilege of meeting President Bush years after our respective service. By chance, I was able to meet him after he made the commencement speech where I earned my engineering degree. For a few moments, under the watchful eye of security, we spoke about our experience during the same moment in time (Desert Shield) from two vantage points. He definitely made me feel like HE was the honored party, but it was among the proudest of moments for me.” – Anonymous in Missouri
