“I am a 50 year old lifetime severe, but controlled asthmatic.

I’m now in peri-menopause. I recently had a bad asthma attack with no triggers. It was very different than any other time in that it was more muscle constriction than anything else.

I’ve had full medical work-ups and my heart and lungs are all healthy.

Has anyone had any experiences with (peri)/menopause and severe asthma?”

  1. Yes! First time ever with asthma! Diagnosed last year at 55, not real sure how this started but was walking 4 miles daily to keep in shape and now have a hard time waking up stairs!!! Not a happy camper!

Would like some ideas to strengthen my lungs again. Was told that my lung capacity is now almost within critical range.
