“Does care taking EVER not feel like mothering when you’re a woman?

How to differentiate? If there’s been no diagnosis of a brain disease, at what point do you know you’re not enabling but actually providing MUCH needed help?” -Anonymous

  1. Instead of mothering I call it nurturing. I do tend to mother my husband, grown children and grands but I also do the same actions to others who are hurting or need help. Nurturing seems a better choice of words. Only you can decide if what you are doing is enabling someone or caring for them.
