My Kids Are Thieves!
I’ve been robbed by my kids!
I can’t believe what they did!
They took my girlish figure years ago
My free time, they stole I know!
My energy, they drained it all
My bank account was the next to fall
They robbed me, sure, and I was there!
They even took my blonde and left gray hair!
They’re thieves! I tell you! I want it back!
They’ve took so much I can’t keep track
My sanity was the last to leave
This motherhood offers no reprieve
But in the end they paid me back
They gave me something that I lacked
A lifetime full of love and laughter
Memories that I’ll have long after
They are grown and on their way
A cherished gift, I can’t repay
The hugs and kisses that they shared
Are priceless treasures beyond compare
I’ve been blessed more than they know
Grandchildren they have bestowed
Gifts arrived from heaven above
I’ve been compensated, paid with love
More memories! More hugs and kisses!
These payments grant all my wishes
Beautiful additions to our family
I consider my kids now debt free!
